The New Year

After many set backs in 2012, I, Mackenzie Raye welcome the New Year. I plan on finishing the story that got me back into writing over a year ago. I have many people to thank for getting back into writing. No, it really is not the ones that want to take credit, as I did not know you back in 2011. You just jump started my writing experience in a new direction. I have found several wonderful friends through these rough patches I have found myself in lately. There were times I wanted to crawl inside a hole and be buried. With the wise advice from many friends and family members, I have found out I am a survivor. I will finish the three smaller stories and work on what I call my baby. As an author I am please to announce that I do have a cover coming out very soon.

A little bit about me, oh joy where do I start. I am a single mother to a wonderful son. I have been writing short stories since about the age of eight, but it was not until recently I have truly found my inner peace from writing. I have made my fair share of mistakes over the years; however, you can't keep a good lady down (From one of my mom's favorite bands). On that note, you will find out that I will continue writing and I will be a better person since I have learned many different lessons within the last two years. We all make mistakes, if we don't then we are not human. As an author, I warn you to make sure all i's are dotted and all t's are crossed before jumping into the fire. Read over the sites that advise you, the good or the naughty lists. The biggest lesson I have learned over the past few weeks is, do not trust everyone you meet. Yes, there are real businesses out there and you have to do the research and investigation in finding fact from fiction. I cannot stress enough but I am not going to keep going on and on about fake businesses. For a matter of fact, I will not change my name to prove I have not been in the wrong, just choose to believe someone that should not have.

I have some authors lined up for some future blogs, interviews and such. I will be posting more as they get lined up. I have no set time right now.
